Spa Na Mara  Booking Terms & Conditions — Donegal Boardwalk Resort Spa

1. General Information

These Terms and Conditions apply to all spa bookings made at the Donegal Boardwalk Resort Spa (“the Spa”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Booking Policy

All treatments must be booked in advance, subject to availability.

A valid credit/debit card or gift voucher number is required to secure your booking.

Minimum age for spa treatments is 16 years (unless otherwise stated).

3. Payment Policy

Full payment or a deposit (e.g., 50%) may be required at the time of booking.

Outstanding balances must be settled prior to treatment.

Accepted payment methods: cash, credit/debit cards, or resort gift vouchers.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the appointment: full refund or reschedule permitted.

Cancellations within 48 hours: 50% of the total treatment cost will be charged.

No-shows or same-day cancellations: 100% of the treatment cost will be charged.

Group or package bookings (3+ guests) require 7 days’ notice for cancellation.

5. Arrival & Late Policy

Please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to complete consultation forms and relax.

Late arrivals may result in shortened treatment time to avoid delaying the next guest, with the full treatment fee still applying.

6. Health & Safety

Please inform your therapist of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, pregnancy, or ongoing treatments before your appointment.

The Spa reserves the right to refuse treatment if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

7. Gift Vouchers

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.

Vouchers are non-refundable and must be presented at the time of booking or check-in.

Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

8. Group Bookings & Packages

A non-refundable deposit (e.g., 25%) is required for group bookings.

Final numbers and full payment must be confirmed 7 days prior to the booking.

9. Personal Belongings

The Spa cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of personal items.

Lockers may be provided, but use is at your own risk.

10. Behaviour & Conduct

Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and other guests.

The Spa reserves the right to refuse service or ask any person to leave if behaviour is deemed inappropriate or disruptive.

11. Liability

The Spa accepts no responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by guests, except where caused by our negligence.

12. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.

Information collected during booking or treatment is used only for providing spa services and internal record keeping. By providing your contact details, you consent to receiving booking confirmations and essential updates. Marketing communications will only be sent with your explicit consent and you may opt out at any time.

13. Changes to Services

The Spa reserves the right to change prices, treatments, or opening hours without prior notice.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

15. Online Booking Disclaimer

Bookings made through third-party platforms are subject to both our Terms & Conditions and the booking platform's policies. The Spa cannot be held responsible for errors, delays or issues arising from third-party booking systems.

16. Pregnancy & Medical Conditions

Certain treatments may not be suitable during pregnancy, particularly during the first trimester (up to 14 weeks). Please inform us if you are pregnant or suspect you may be so we can recommend appropriate treatments.

For your safety, some treamtents may be adapted, postponed or replaced with pregnancy-safe alternatives after 14 weeks. The Spa reserves the right to refuse or modify treatments if deemed unsuitable for your stage of pregnancy or health condition.

*Our trained therapists can provide selected maternity-safe treatments after the 14th week of pregnancy. Please contact the Spa in advance to discuss suitable options.

17. Hygenie

The Spa maintains strict hygiene and sanitation standards for all equipment and facilities. Guests showing signs of illness may be asked to reschedulentheir appointment for the safety and comfort of others.

18. Use of Thermal & Spa Facilities

Use of the Spa's thermal and relaxation facilities (including sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, hot tub and cold plunge) is at the guest's own risk. Guest's must follow all posted safety guidelines and staffs instructions.

The Spa is not liable for injury, illness or damage arising from misuse of facilities, failure to follow instructions or pre-exisiting health conditions.

19. Alcohol & Intoxication

Guests are not permitted to bring or consume alcohol or drugs  may be refused treatment or access to facilities.

The full treatment fee will still apply in such cases.

20. Force Majeure

The Spa shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to weather conditions, power outages or staff illness.

21. CCTV & Security

For the safety and security of our guests, staff and property, CCTV operates in public areas of the Spa (e.g. reception, corridors and communal zones).

Recording is conducted in accordance with GDPR and data protection laws. Footage is used solely for security and operational purposes and is retained only for as long as necessary.

No CCTV is installed in treatment rooms or private changing areas.
